Brighton Tram 53 Society — Tram Routes

The eight principal routes were B, C, D, E, L, N, Q and S. The route letters were associated with a principal road, destination or function. The Aquarium was the terminus for most routes. Routes B and D formed a circular service of more than four miles taking about 30 minutes, trams ran clockwise and anti-clockwise. The original start terminus was the southern end of Victoria Garden from 1901- 1904 when it changed to the Old Steine but known as the Aquarium.

Aquarium → Marlborough Place → Gloucester Place → St Peter's Church →London Road → Preston Circus → Beaconsfield Road / Beaconsfield Villas → Preston Drove.

Route C: Seven Dials – Lower Rock Gardens
Aquarium → Marlborough Place → Gloucester Place → St Peter's Church →London Road → Preston Circus → Beaconsfield Road / Beaconsfield Villas → Preston Drove.
